In this climate would you dare ask your manager for a raise?

Always.

uplifting

I would lol, and I have done it recently. My supervisor said exactly this: At this moment, there are no raises in the company, but we could take some steps in order to be ready and qualified for the next review. I believe we should always try with data backing you up. If it's not now, your boss can at least set goals with you.

Do you think your boss will pull through if you do deliver on the goals?

Absolutely. What's the worst that can happen? They say no and you're stuck making the exact same as you already are. You've got nothing to lose. Might as well ask.

True!

If you are performing well then absolutely.
The climate is not bad at all, probably neutral.

High performers are always very valuable & if you aren’t valuable to your employer it’s probably best you find another business who needs your skills more.

That’s fair. I guess I don’t know if I am “valuable”. Even top performers who left haven’t been replaced lately

What should I do in a scenario where I was hired (12+ years) with far less salary than(~20% less) than other members (4+ experience) in team and asked to take 80% of team's responsibilities. The hiring manager low balled me sensing that I am in dire need of that job and now I am stuck for 2 years now. The company is a big shot but I am literally getting paid less than what I used to make 10 years ago. Should I try to move within or look outside?

Hi all, I have about 7 years of professional experience but only one year as a Customer Success Manager. I work on mid market accounts currently. I love my job, but would prefer to support a more robust platform that will allow me to add more value for my customers.

I’d appreciate your thoughts on what compensation you might expect for a CSM transitioning to a new company with one year of experience.

To clarify, I don’t have an offer yet, I’m just looking to make a move.

Thank you!

Just posting as a reminder to LEAVE that job (within a reasonable time 😂) and go where the money is!

(p.s. I already know some of you have had higher increases in the same amount of time & I consider 6 months minimum is “within a reasonable time”)
