Super true. I faint every time I get blood drawn. Fun fact from the nurse - most common in males 30-40 (which is me). Vasovagal response

Same here!

Might be true for some people, but i definitely don’t have anxiety for medical things. I signed up for a surgery and all the testing that came with it as a healthy person. I donate blood every few months.

After the 2nd dose, my armpit was definitely swollen and I had a fever for a few days. I felt like I was hit by a truck.

The article is in reference to a set of specific reported side effects at certain sites. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7018e3.htm

The immune response you experienced is pretty common, and they’re not saying those symptoms were due to anxiety,

I struggled with binge drinking for many years after my mom passed away. I have been sober for the past 12 months. My husband has struggled with drinking for a long time as well, and just got done serving a 6 month sentence for his second DUI (on ankle bracelet at home for 4 months of the sentence). He got out of jail this week, and he has drank almost everyday since. He says he is different now, and can control himself (i.e, he won't be abusive or drive). Continued in comments..

How much do Desis working in the usa spend on clothes? No matter how much my salary increases, I cannot get myself to spend over $20 on a piece of clothing. I’m stuck with a ton of clothes from BR, old navy, jcrew, Ann Taylor. I’m starting to think that now, they look cheap. Trying to understand what others do.

I may have prematurely accepted an offer. I received an offer from another firm less than 24 hours after accepting my offer at firm 1. Would it be bad to rescind my acceptance?

Considering a change of career!

PST 🐠 watching TV & celebrating at home.

What channel is Dick Clack's Rockin New Years Eve with Ryan Seacrest and the ball drop on? I saw a bit at 8:30pm on ABC, but then midnight EST happened. Don't they usually replay it for PST? I literally can't find the whole thing on TV, or YouTube, just tiny occasional snippets of Puerto Rico or nyc chatting with the crowd.

Getting annoyed. I don't have cable, only appletv with apps.

Anyone else seriously considering nomad life for 2021? I’m DC-based but starting the research process for living in different SW and west coast cities for a lot of next year. I’d put all my stuff in storage here and do 8 or so months living in Airbnbs in different cities. I’m recently divorced and it feels like the time is now! I can’t imagine having to go back to in person office life anytime before next fall.

My company’s new hybrid working model was finally announced. We’re in a high COL west coast city, but not tech so pay is mediocre. Option A is office/wfh combo. The office downsized, so hot desking 3 days, WFH 2 days. No stipend for supplies, internet, phone. Option B- We can apply for FT remote if we move, but will get a paycut for lower COL areas. No raises for higher COL moves. Still no stipend. Multi-billion $ company, did great bc of the pandemic. How mad should I be?
