I'm a bit younger than you, but I've noticed changes in my sleep patterns over the past few years. What's kinda helping has been being really strict about going to bed at the same time. I've been going to bed at 10:30 for the past three months, and while some nights are still bad, I've been noticing that my bod has actually started to understand it's time to shut down. Maybe give that a try?
I've been doing the same thing and that has helped normally a hour before I sleep I start my nighttime routine which helps my body get ready to rest
It might be time for a new mattress… I got one last year and it totally changed the game. Also, try taking unisom. It’s a sleep aid and you can get it on amazon. It helped me sleep during pregnancy.
41, almost 42 here. I was waking up between 2&4am every night for months this past year. Starting a new exercise routine helped a lot. I'm still pretty inconsistent, but the weeks I keep up with my workouts, I sleep so much better!
I’ve been on mild anti-anxiety meds for years for sleep to quiet my thoughts and also melatonin, magnesium (not citrate), meditation and relaxing music before bed and reduced screen time help. Also, agree that being on a schedule helps.
10mg Costco fast-dissolve melatonin, and Costco sleep aid at 7pm with a cup of chamomile tea. Cut off the alcohol to 1 glass per week on a weekend. I’m mid 50’s, so I add an Aleve when I really want a good deep sleep.
https://youtu.be/3uDNCNbGhkY?si=XWUNrcDKJ4Tv6k_9 Fall Asleep so Fast by Lauren Ostrowksi. I’ve probably played it 1,000 times myself. 🤣
I swear by magnesium glycinate. This might sound weird but I listen to YouTube videos or podcasts of stories or very boring topics. Basically ASMR. It helps me focus on something while relaxing my body.
I do this exact regimen too. Magnesium and a boring podcast
I would mention it to your doctor. It could be pre- menopause symptoms or something hormonal. Sleep can also be related to stress, so maybe think about your stress levels too. Not that we can much about those most of the time, but anyway.
