Did you check the recruiter’s and company LinkedIn for layoffs?

I was interviewing at a company and was told moving on to final candidates stage… then nothing. Checked Linkedin to see that recruiter and a bunch of other people were laid off

Otherwise it’s not normal just bad recruiting

like

No layoffs, in fact they are expanding. But it is a really small company, like 50 people, I think they found somebody cheaper and then were embarrassed. That's what it seemed like when I went in.

like

If better offers come through it might be... Not too many people are putting all their eggs into one basket. It's not wise
Or a better candidate* 😕

like

I have a feeling they found a cheaper candidate. And that's fine it's the lack of communication that I find so unprofessional of them. I was literally just waiting for a start date.

like

I think these jobs aren't real 😢 after accepting this offer, they keep telling me they will give me feedback for when to start. It's sad cos I really need the job 😭😔

like

I do think that is happening, but I had two in person interviews, I met the owners and they even said to my face "let's get you started this week". It's just so bizarre.

like

Whoa. This is the first I'm hearing of it.

like

..ghosting from whom? because If you ghosted them after accepting an offer it's common.

If a company can fire you at-will, or never call you back after an interview even if you didn't get the job) you owe them nothing.

That seems to be in my case. I applied, interviewed, background check, drug screen, signed my acceptance letter and no start date yet.

Hello I’m curious on how to bring this to my supervisor attention. A few months back all the techs got a raise based on how long they have had been a tech. How do I bring this up as the supervisor mentioned that we shouldn’t be talking about our raises.

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice
