I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google
I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

It is not a written policy, no. Is it taken into account? Not consistently, no. If you are 48 months and not progressing (as opposed to being a promo candidate soon) then maybe.
But this is not a hard rule so don’t catastrophise
I mean you joined consulting to be up or out. Bell curve ratings have never really gone away. Each group has a target to remove from the business and if you are the worst (4 years at level with no promo support shows you are pretty bad) then a PIP should help you sort yourself out or show you the door.
All levels, A3. I am not sure what Kool Aid you were fed but Consulting has always been a dog eat dog career path. You use it to develop, or become an MD. A lot of junior folk seem to be doing the "Inbetween" and acting like it is a job for life.
No. And it depends on what level are we talking.
For L7 and above, there is no theoritical number but you'll be red flagged if no promotion flag in sight.
