Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Yes, absolutely, but it has nothing to do with the age of the team members, but everything to do with the fact that the individual is a "new manager". When anyone moves to a new position, specifically if it involves new skills like management, there's always a learning curve. I'm that sense, it's possible scores could fall. With coaching, guidance and mentorship though, it's expected that they would go back up once that individual learns the management skills required.
That makes sense
Can you clarify? Why do you think the age of your team members is a factor in how you were rated as a manager?
The distribution of positive vs. negative correlated to distribution of senior vs early talent - making me think I need to be more supportive and more involved for early vs. tenured (they’re all in the same role level just some have more years work experience). It could just be coincidence, so I posted to see others thoughts.
The other poster made a good point that it’s more about developing the skill set, in general. I reached out to respected leaders for coaching. I will ask for feedback from the team so I can take action to best support them in a way that meets their needs and helps them be successful.
