Are you one of those people who camp in the left hand lane no matter what? That's also very typical of CO drivers
This.
Pro
Yeah, and red lights are optional.
I am just learning this after 6 months here, shocked at how many folks run red lights here!
Doesn’t matter which lane, drivers are really aggressive here
Pro
It’s not aggressive driving, it’s distracted driving. The amount of people texting is alarming. As a bike commuter, I encourage everyone to put their phones down, whatever you think is urgent can likely wait.
Same, I bike commute and have so many close calls with people focused on their phones. Distracted drivers and giant SUVs with bad sight lines are a dangerous mix.
You must mean on 25/ 70. On my local neighborhood roads, I swear no one drives above 20.. and the speed limit is 30 😂
Native, & this is what I’ve been saying for a long time!
Coloradans are known to get very territorial near construction zones.
Can you merge zipper style and keep your manhood? Hmmm let’s not risk it
Drivers are extremely aggressive. I have major anxiety driving in Denver. Always better to stay back and let the crazies be crazy.
I've never witnessed "aggressive"drivers here. I came from Chicago where drivers are actually aggressive
Rising Star
Chicago is aggressive but decently pragmatic. People here are just shit drivers.
Yes. It’s terrible.
The driving here is just plain weird. It seems like on 25 no one knows to merge property, and in the suburbs, I have seen people bang u-turns when we are not in the left lane at a red light. I feel like it's a free for all and rules are optional
The big a$$ pickups are the worst. Terrible driving + sense of entitlement on the road.
Probably trying to get around your Prius that's going half the speed limit.
Its just you. People in Denver are terribly slow and unaware on the road. If speed limit is 60, you're lucky to go 55 in the left lane.
Rising Star
Driving in Colorado is a dream compared to Atlanta
My wife and I joke that the driving mantra for Denver is “Drive fast, think Slow”. Everyone drives like crazy but they aren’t thinking fast enough to avoid wrecks.
I feel like everyone drives slow here
No worse than the Bay Area or DC Metro. Lead by example and don’t camp in the passing lane.
