Hello Guys,
I Got one Offer from Fynd but that is too low for me and as per my expereince
They are giving me 9 LPA bcz I quoted that amount when I applied for it long back. at that time I didnt know more about how salary and all calculated and whats the market research
Now after clearing all the rounds when we meet for salary discussion i told him my real desired salary as per experience and market reseach
He told me that I quoted 9 LPA so we can not do more "unless you have any counter offer"
Bajaj finance is extending an offer to me for Pune location of 16 LPA fixed. My current fixed is 11 LPA. Is this offer good enough ?
Tech stack: Machine learning, Python, R, PowerBI, Basic SQL.
YoE - 3 years
Can someone suggest if fixed pay is fair or low or high according to current standards. If it's low, how high should I quote to HR Bajaj Finance

Just want to chime in as I feel there is a lot of misinformation out there. There are no layoffs happening, as mentioned above this was simply a story that was picked up.
Also the hiring freeze is not a freeze, rather a slow down mostly for technical resources. My team is hiring heavily as before.
All the best with whatever you choose!
I got a request from Meta recruiter on Linkedin... Not sure if this is imapcting that
It's not layoff. The person who started it was not even meta employee. She was a contractor hired by staffing agency which works for meta.

Accept both offers and decline one closer to your start date

MC1, thank you. I saved this for future reference.
I heard it was just one person who got laid off and started a viral trend amongst recruiters. Not sure if that's completely true but dig around a bit more.
What's the worst that can happen? You make more money in the other job?
It is truly wild how fast misinformation spreads and how lazy people are to not do their own research.
You said “given the layoffs”. Everyone here is unanimous in that there are no layoffs.
I can confirm that we’re not having layoffs. There’s a hiring freeze in place for some SWE and DS roles (because we already filled headcount for the year) but the open positions you see on the website are not impacted.
Happy to chat about specific positions and help in any way.
Can’t see that role being an issue.
I am still hiring for my team at Meta! (Non-tech)
Any specific non tech positions?
I brought up the supposed meta layoffs in a post yesterday and got some good insight on the misinformation out there…basically #metalayoffs wasn’t even a thing

Confirm that all of what my friends above said is true 🙂
There are absolutely no layoffs at Meta.. It's ironic that they were target of fake news. Many teams in Meta are still hiring

Take the better offer. Dump Meta before they dump you.

An international student had her offer rescinded for SEE. She posted on LinkedIn. She is based in Canada.
She got her job back.. she was out of her work authorization.

I agree, probably blown out of proportion but I’ve seen 4 different things on LinkedIn today about offers getting rescinded to Meta. All of which had thousands of likes - I’d agree with others though, if it is happening it’s much smaller proportions
Depends on your vertical. I'm in logistics and we're still hiring.
