Is it just me or does anyone else think that the insurance industry as a whole needs a complete overhaul??? I can't do it anymore!!! I've done Medicare Advantage, Final Expense and ACA plans and I am so frustrated with all of it. Most people feel like Final Expense isn't necessary!!! WHAT?? Are you crazy?? And ACA plans have $8000 deductibles! Why even have insurance?? That's defeats the whole purpose of it!! I'm sorry....I'm just super annoyed!!!

I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). How do I bring this inequity up and ask to be compensated equally? I have years more experience and My work is more complex - she is basically a receptionist. Any suggestions would be helpful!

I got an offer at Nokia, and my new manager said that she wanted to put me in the higher salary bracket however the HR insisted that we lowered the range. That caused me to receive a much lower salary than expected. Should I renegotiate even when my manager said that she tried giving me more. Does HR really play that big of a role in this?

How difficult would it be for a well-credentialed US lawyer (approx 7 YOE) to qualify and practice in Toronto? I’m a Canadian (from AB) who went to law school in the US (top 3 school), practiced for 4 years at a strong Wall St firm, and now has been in-house as a corporate generalist for a couple years. I want to move back to Canada permanently, and have just kicked off the NCA process, but will I have any realistic prospects of having a successful legal career, or am I too far along?

What should I expect if I were either tier 1 or 2? Trying to minimize the salary reduction…

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
