If you are questioning it...go somewhere else. Any red flags from the start (especially coming from HR) indicate how that company operates in general.
Exactly I just posted this above. Is it normal for HR to take forever to follow up? It's already been two weeks since my last interview and I'm still waiting for an update. They seemed really interested at the time, so I'm confused why this is taking so long. Should I reach out to them one more time or is it more likely they went with someone else?
I would followup. I know I have worked in a few companies where HR will seem very excited and tell you we will give you a call in a few days and as soon as you walk out the door management will tell them to throw the resume/ application away or if Management has a clique relationship with HR they let HR decide the candidates to hire. So if HR does not like you in the trash your forms go. I have seen it so many times with my own eyes and my heart would sank every time. That is literally playing with people because you never know how bad a person needs a job

I would reach out just to be sure & let them know that you’re genuinely interested!
