Is it normal for your articles to have lots of feedback during subbing? I have a new editor and there is so much feedback that it's become disheartening

I think the new editor is probably playing a big role in that. I always get quite a bit of feedback, so I wouldn’t be disheartened too much. Or maybe we both should be? 😂 Serious note, look at it as them at least caring enough to read through and have thoughts about it. I’d more more concerned to have zero feedback instead.

I know that feeling. Early on I took every red mark as a failure, but really it is part of the process. The volume of feedback usually eases up once your editor learns your style and trusts your judgement.

Yes, it is normal, especially with a new editor.

The argument that climate change is not man-made has been disproven by science over and over again, yet many people believe that the global crisis is either not real, not of our making, or both, in part because the news media deliberately chooses not to talk about it because it doesn't sell enough.

Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female.
