I don't think I had any particular inspiration. I always enjoyed writing and I sort of just found myself writing content for news publication.
I thought I'd be fun to join the team for my college's newspaper and I just kept pursuing that until I ended up doing it as a career
I was a freelance writer for awhile and gradually found myself looking for more news assignments until it became my focus. The combination of storytelling and informing the public is something I've grown to love.
The ability we have as journalists to keep the world informed.
Love for helping others, supporting and letting people know their truths. I am a columnist.
I have always been interested in learning the most up-to-date information but can't stand how opinionated news sources have become. So I wanted to find a way to engage others with current events without trying to sway them one way or the other. It's difficult to remove the emotions sometimes but it is always interesting work and I feel that I'm doing something useful for society
Even when I was a little kid I could see the need for fair and balanced info, it bugs me when people just go with the prevailing opinion because they are trying to get people to like them. Like high school student elections which are really just popularity contests. And I think a lot of people don't question things enough, so I try to counteract that I guess? If that makes any sense.
I like knowing what's going on behind the scenes, maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist or something but I always think there's something people are trying to hide
