McKinsey & Company Does level and/or office matter for referrals at McKinsey & Company? A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain. I have updated the resume since - though still wondering if there's anything else I can do to strengthen my case. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Totally normal. Some of it is the cost benefit ratio and weighing the trade offs. You get in, be ecstatic, have a great first term. Somewhere around the middle of the program, you’ll have an existential crisis and another sense along these lines of what am I doing and is it worth it. It should all resolve itself by the end. It’s worth it.
Applications and getting in is the hardest part. There were many times I doubted what I was doing (studying for the GMAT, revising essays constantly, being rejected post HBS interview).
Now, I have 6 months left in my M7 program and am so glad I put in the time up front. I’ve met great people, broadened my horizons, and have set myself up to triple my pre-MBA comp in 2-3 years.
I felt the same! My consultant was honestly a huge help to guide through my anxiety too
