With seniority comes trust. Just work openly in your first years and the trust will come naturally. Either way if you deliver good work on time, you’re doing well, whatever the method.

Devils advocate: not everyone is great at on-the-spot feedback. I want people looking and thinking about the work before the review so their feedback is actually useful.
But only once the work is far along enough to be seen!
Case by case, but in general I also like to work on my own and copy in. Don’t generally run into issues unless they wanna work alongside on a tight deadline
I always work on a separate deck. And when is the time to present, I put the work in the deck.

I don't work on anything directly in a shared document.
I make it a rule to let my team present/share when they are ready. Usually they work in their own deck. If it’s a final deck, well, we’re all working on it and it’s my job to make sure things are happening. That’s the nature of collaborative slides.
