How long @BNYmellon take to release the offer letter ?

I received offer letter from Accenture mentioned joining date is 1st-Oct-22 as I had told them that my notice period is of 3 month,Later I got to know that it is 1 month as i am still in probation. So I asked them to give early joining.

HR told me to put resign and let him know my LWD and as per that he will send revised offer letter.
My last working day is 20 July. Still I haven't received revised offer letter.


Can anyone pls suggest what should I do?

Will they provide early joining?

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!

Should I disclose or hide the fact that I am on maternity leave? I have an interview with a big law firm in NY. I’m currently working for a law firm in Atlanta. I imagine I will be asked whether I have returned to the office or working remotely from NY. My husband and I have been living in New York since the pandemic to be near family. My current firm asked everyone to go back last week but since I am on leave I didn’t have to. I want to avoid lying without jeopardizing my chances.

I can’t stand people that brag about how busy they are or how late they stayed up doing X. They may think they’re just complaining, but the sanctimonious tone is unbearable. I promise you, no one is impressed. You are the problem with this industry.

Texans. Just got an offer from a V10 to relocate down and do litigation. Excited but the offer was 20k below market. Talked to managing partner and they said it’s the market in Houston so if I can find other firms paying full market they will raise it since I’ll be the only jr. - mid level. Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Are there any books or other resources that mid levels/seniors/counsel/partners on here have found helpful for the project management / managing junior attorney aspects of your job?

I am not finding a lot of stuff written for lawyers specifically , but there is a lot directed at “managers” in business generally that I imagine could be applicable.

I have ADD and occasionally make small mistakes in my work, like leaving a word missing when editing sentences, small formatting errors or leaving an internal comment in drafts sent to clients. All partners have been very understanding and care about the quality of my work, and no client has ever complained. Partners and clients praise my work.

But now, one partner has become super mad and when I explained ADD, he said:
