The Current scenario of high attrition rates and job shift by taking multiple offers has been caused by a resource crunch in the market. However I have a feeling that this particular scenario of shifting jobs by way of multiple offers and getting high salary is creating a bubble in the market which will burst causing a ripple effect of lay offs due to cost saving efforts by organisations in the near future. In a scenario like this how can one change the job by avoiding the bubble?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. When do you switch from first-year to second-year at your firm in terms of salary - at the end of the firm’s fiscal year or January 1? For context, my firm’s fiscal year ends in November and the annual billing requirements restart then.

If you do billable work on a given PTO/vacation day, do you still count that day as vacation? Or do you get that vacation day "back"? Or do you only get the part that you billed "back"? (Or some other option.)
