Is quartzite heat resistant like granite? That’d be my only concern
Mentor
It seems to be in the ballpark for pricing. I’m an avid DIYer and it’s something I would pay for install. One little mistake and the slab is ruined. I don’t DIY when I can offload risk, like roofing or this with an expensive material. I prefer Quartzite for appearance, not to be confused with quartz the man made product that uses resin. When we were kids we’d break open the rocks and think it was diamonds inside. I’m with you on quartzite vs granite. I left the granite in my rental (ugly greens, gray), but when I built my own home I went quartzite, fairly plain and from a distance they look white.
