Is tableau still a valuable tool/skill to learn for business intelligence/data analysis for private/public sector companies in general? Or is powerBI really the better thing to spend time learning? I just got a 14 day trial and am studying for the desktop specialist exam.

3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Mind you, I was working FOR FREE as it was a school connected externship. That made me never want to work in the law.

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. About to sign on with a new consulting firm, and their onboarding documentation wants me to sign a non-compete which prevents me from joining another firm that does Salesforce work for 12 months after the end of this role... Is that normal? Having a hard time believing that's ok. Coming in as an SC, if that makes any difference. Anyone with experience on this?
