Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

There are folks leaving as well for better comp. in most cases. The SF tag is helpful and you get easy opportunities with SIs/ customers who pay better if you level up
I would leave SF program architect role any day for a consulting role. Past 7 engagements in my 5 years of consulting, I have come across more than 10 PAs from SF. All of them are nice guys but added 0 value to client and no impact at all. None of them got extended for more than 1 phase of the project while we receive continuous renewals.

There are many excellent PA's, but unlike Big4/ACN, they don't get the opportunity to participate in the pursuit process and scope work appropriately, nor can they network to get staffed to engagements that fit their individual skills (huge faux pas to even try in CSG). So some unaccountable sales guy (Account Partner) sells "PA's can do anything" and some staffing person says "here's a body", and it doesn't matter that the person + contract + client need are all misaligned.

Amen to that!
I have yet to find anyone else in the SF world providing anything close to SF salaries or benefits
It used to be that only level 7 and higher got unlimited PTO but I believe last April they applied it to everyone.
It's temporary at best, most will move on 1-2 years
