What are some things you guys wish you knew before you started your NetSuite implementation?

I’m at a small company that’s sort of becoming medium sized, and a new exec pushing to quickly implement NetSuite and I just want to make sure we’re not getting in over our heads, he’s trying to get this done within two months

We currently use Salesforce, quick books, and excel, we’ll be consolidating a lot of accounting and finance stuff into netsuite and integrating it with Salesforce

A report opened to me that they are having money problems and wants a raise. We are remote and they moved to a high CoL city. We gave an increase to help with retention 6mths ago. In my response, I helped mentor with best practices on how to ask for a raise professionally since I need to make a case to my Head on finances. But their performance has been avg and not seemingly worthy of another large raise within a short period of time. But how do I respond when they talk about personal finances?

Junior Associates - How much student loan debt are you and your peers in these days? A few young partners and counsel at my firm were discussing the student loan moratorium and most of us were convinced we could have paid the majority of our loans off with the bonuses associates got these last two years. I have been at my company for 3.5 years. One year ago (2.5 years into my employment with them) they re-leveled everyone and I was bumped to an entry level position on the terms that they changed my job title when they re-leveled, so “technically” I am at the early stages of my new title.
