Is there anyone out there who genuinely needs a remote worker? I've been very limited on funds and had to move in with family in another state after college graduation. I've been turned down from several job opportunities because I didn't/don't have the 5+ years experience. I am a very hard worker, great with computers, and catch on super quick. In Vancouver BC right now. Feeling like I need to move to Los Angeles area California to be closer to my family. What's the remote job market look like there? Is it a good idea to move there right now?

The firm I work for is not closing for the hurricane. Staff were told to work from home or take PTO if they could not come in to the office (and the building is now closed until Friday). Is this normal?!

Been working as an Assistant Technician for 3 years (2 years excluding pandemic) pay is £21k now £22 adjusted for inflation. I will be completing my Part 1 in architecture but also have a degree in Technology, should I find a different company after graduation or take roles offering £30-45k as an Architectural Technologist/Technician.

I got an offer to work at a Gensler office, but something has come up and need to move/work in a different city. Can I ask them to transfer me before I accept the offer? Will they do this if there is the same role currently open in the new city?
