Got selected as an Intern+FTE at SocGen for 15 LPA from college campus placements. Is this less or enough, and are there any other things I should keep in mind when joining the company (the good and the bad).

Anyone have any first hand and direct insights about how working in house at a private equity firm compares to working in the m&a practice of a V10 law firm? Hi all, negotiating with HR on salary for a new AS position and want to know what’s fair. I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. All of my agencies have been large, I’ve worked on pharma and a large global account, I also started “managing” at the AE level due to my team’s structure. Is $80k fair? Thanks!

I'm a depressed 32 yrs old single with 8 YOE. Last drawn CTC was 5 LPA even after switching 5 companies.
When I see Ppl with 18LPA or 23LPA with 4 or 5 YOR, I really feel my gut wrench with sadness wishing I had that CTC.

Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I equate a book to autonomy and career choice and pressure is on.
