I get that, it makes sense. You might want to look into places near office parks or hospitals because they tend to stay consistent year-round. I used to work near a hospital and it’s been way more predictable. Another place that I liked where they hired me full time where close to touristy area that was hot year around, so we always had a lot of people. Where do you live?
I don't know that any place will be busy year round when there's such drastic seasonal population shifts. College towns and tourism hotspots aren't great for consistency. I had the same experience working in a. touristy area - season was great, summers were completely dead. The only way for me to get away from that feast or famine way of living was by moving.
It all comes down to location, of course, and to be in a situation where business is always steady you probably need to be in a city or town that's not entirely dependent on tourists. And, it's important to work for a place that's not set up to be a tourist trap. A good restaurant in a city that's got a regular clientele is ideal. But you can probably find similar situations in larger towns. Of course, if you're living in a touristy area it might be an attractive place close to a beach or whatever.
