Is there a useful ranking of the top VC firms (including CVCs/corporate venture capital firms) to go by? Is there one that has a lot of consensus behind it, like the way we have MBB vs. T2 vs. B4/ACN tiers here? Looking to get a job in the space and wanna make sure I'm not joining some backwater firm.
My role is being terminated soon due to relocation. Not having any luck with internal recruiting, I’m under pressure to find a new job in < 1 month. Hello! I have an inital call with HR coming up for a non-technical program manager role and I’m anticipating the expected total comp question. I’m coming from a non-tech background so I’m not sure what would be reasonable. Not sure what L level this role would be (it’s titled just Program Manager). Role would be in the Bay Area (currently live in DC). I’ve got 10 YOE, mostly in the government (3 in consulting). Any insight would be helpful!
Currently KPMG Strategy, thinking about moving over to ACN “Strat”. Will be a level up from where I am, KPMG Strategy M to ACN SM, which is a nice bump in pay. Probably would be KPMG D in 2 years, so this accelerates me a bit. Other than the compensation, any reason why NOT to do this? Looking at a 25-30% base pay bump.
Dang it, just found out one of our Staff's is leaving. Client snatched him. He's great. Gonna miss him.
Interview question help. I had an interview a few months ago at a VC firm. One of the questions was name a company/industry you’d want the firm to invest in and why. I talked about ghost kitchens and how they were growing even before Covid. I couldn’t think of a technology though. Does anyone have insight into how they would answer that question? Needless to say I didn’t get to the next round
