So I finally got around to watching the Bear. Thoughts? They did get the frantic element right and the little details. But my family at Thanksgiving all seemed to think it was basically a documentary

I thought it was good, I found similarities with this movie and Brother bear. I think it could have more movie type scenes but it was really good.

Honestly it has a little documentary feel to it, but when you see the comedy in it you can tell it's not. I feel it's a good series to enjoy with the family.

I was really impressed by the Bear. They managed to capture the frantic energy of the situation, and all of the little details like facial expressions, body language, and other visuals were spot on.

I talked about it with my family recently, they all seemed to agree that the Bear felt very documentary-like in its portrayal of events - it certainly wasn't your average fiction movie!

My favorite part of the movie was definitely that the score also added a lot to the atmosphere, with intense strings and percussion making it feel even more real. All in all, it was a great film and definitely worth watching if you haven't already seen it.

If you miss the ‘Golden Age’ of television, I highly recommend tuning into Sean, Laura, and Tucker on FOX. An argument can be made that they are the Sopranos, The Wire, and Breaking Bad of their format. Unlike those works of fiction however, these shows and their respective hosts provide insight into our real world in a way no screenwriter ever could.

Almost midnight here and I'm cleaning my medicine cabinet so I can reboot having a regular skin-care routine. I'm listening to one of my favorite musicals, "Ragtime", specifically the song "He Wanted to Say". Living 9 time zones away from home out of the US and watching the BLM movement there, unable to do anything concrete about it from here - this song I've listened to countless times, today about brought me to tears.

I really don’t mean this to virtue signal - just wanted to share a moment.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
