It’s funny how people used to joke that boomers could barely use Excel, yet Excel became a career baseline. Feels like AI is heading the same way. Prompting, automating, and double checking outputs are quickly becoming everyday work skills. Curious if others feel this shift already or think it’s overblown.

I view it as another tool, a useful one to be sure. It's cool having something you might bounce ideas off of, maybe use as a starting point to learn a little something about a topic you might not be well versed in.

When it comes to coding the most success seems to be keeping things small and direct, or perhaps automate generating a basic class and then filling in the gaps.

What I dont see yet is the justification for it to be a major people replacer. Work place enhancer to be sure, but not replacer.

For me, it’s not an issue of not knowing how to use AI. I get the function. The biggest difference between AI and excel for me is that excel is a useful tool that was needed. AI is pretty useless and doesn’t do tasks that can’t be performed better by humans.

I use AI to help me use excel and I'm not a boomer hahahaha

It’s a definite shift that is steering the future of the job market. Get your certifications now.

My personal feelings about AI aside, it matters in a big way. Especially as the job market gets worse; AI skills are going to be the difference between being employed or unemployed.

I have just started my journey in Salesforce and I have started working on Salesforce Vlocity. Order management to be specific. I wanted to know what are the opportunities and what kind of job market is there in Salesforce/Vlocity.

Also is it good for learning to start off with Vlocity/Order Management right off cause it is a bit confusing for me.

Some guidance would be useful

Hey people

I have recently received an offer letter from PwC and have signed and accepted the offer (via Workday portal).
Now when I check the tasks against the job on workday, I can see no tasks pending and under completed tasks: a green tick against 'review and sign offer letter (step complete)' (and I can see the offer)
I am told that I would receive onboarding emails from HR, but I haven't yet.

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?
