Toxic people like and promote other toxic people.
Culture begins at the top and trickles down. If the management and leadership are toxic it affects the whole work dynamic. Direct reports are either silent and afraid to speak up, or you see the majority following the same types of behavior as that is what is being reflected.
It sounds spiritual. Pray and cast it out.

It’s crazy isn’t it? Some people thrive off the power of it all. The culture definitely forces this on people as they see it as a a way to get promotions, pay rises etc.
