Short stints are pretty common right now. The layoffs and pivots help explain it more than you think.
Recruiters are definitely used to job changes in data science, especially with how volatile tech has been. I worried about my own short stints before, but having actual results on your resume helps a ton.
What made your moves stand out? If you show impact at each spot - think, project launches, cost savings, unique tech - most hiring managers won’t write you off for a gap, especially if you explain why it happened.
Lately I’ve been updating my resume and double-checking with tools like ResumeJudge, SkillSyncer, or Resume Worded so nothing weird gets flagged by the ATS. It actually helps highlight those positive accomplishments, not just bumps in the timeline.
If you’re worried, maybe try framing the gaps as intentional growth - travel and moving add personal development, not just missing work. Are you open to remote options to help smooth out the instability?
