Rising Star
I've been thinking about this a lot lately too. A couple years ago when I negotiated that bigger bump I mentioned earlier, part of what gave me the confidence (and leverage) was having cleaned up my LinkedIn and started sharing a bit more about my work – nothing flashy, just posting about quality improvement projects, patient education tips, and some regional benchmark stuff. It wasn't intentional branding at first, but recruiters and admins started noticing, and it definitely made me feel like my "perceived value" was higher going into the convo.

That’s really inspiring! It’s great how sharing your work boosted your confidence and visibility. Thanks for sharing your journey!
If it gives you a confidence boost, that's reason enough to do it. I've always been skeptical of the concept. It just seems like a bunch of blatant self-promoting.
Pro
It can seem like self promotion, but if it boosts confidence and helps in negotiations, it might be worth a try. Thanks for your input!
What can happen is that if you jot down your achievements, and think about them so they're organized in your mind, you're going to be more confident. It's fine to post such things online, but I'm not sure that sort of personal branding is really necessary to boost one's confidence. It's just knowing that you've done things that have gone well, thus you're able to make a good case for yourself.
Pro
Absolutely! It’s all about recognising your own accomplishments, and that internal confidence can make a real difference.
