You were a contract employee. You can also say that upon starting, you agreed to a “trial period”and you decided that it wasn’t the right place for you given the misalignment with their business model (skip the manager part). You had concerns about the misalignment so you agreed to a “try before you buy” temporary assignment. Remember the narrative is yours. The company can’t confirm anything but your title and dates of work.
If you're able to find another job, I think it's safe to say that no one cares about the short stint at your current employers. I wouldn't worry too much about this, especially since I assume this isn't the only job on your resume. Find something new and stay there for a while and you'll be fine.
