I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Social media doesn’t seem to be a huge focus at the moment but there is a lot of potential in the industry. How do I go about asking to run social media full time instead?

The situation: Put on a big pitch. Me and my partner came up with a great idea. A week later my CD puts a more senior writer on the project... (cont in post)

My book is just spec and side projects. I’m trying to get a new junior-to-mid role because I’ve gotten nothing good produced where I’m at, and I have zero faith this will change if I stick around.

I’m asked for work samples from recruiters and CDs even though I make clear that what I’ve done doesn’t reflect who I am as a creative. Think CRM/DM/B2B stuff. They insist on it, and I never hear back afterwards.

Not sure what to do. Almost feel like I’d be better off erasing my agency experience.

Work isn’t adding anything to my book. I want to make amazing stuff but clients, budgets & my creative director aren’t getting me there. & I can’t go to a new agency with a shitty book.
