I've come to understand it like this... the "Tech industry" is exactly that... industry.

A lot of us want be tech workers. That's the same as saying you want to be an actor or musician. Record/movie companies are not looking to just hire any actors/musicians.

I think independent is the way to go. Smaller, tight knit clusters of developers working together. This way we can combat this whole begging/ hunting for employment. Like indie movies/records

I have recently joined NTT DATA. But realised that I am not really liking the project and work here. on top of that they are asking to come back to office. I have offer from other company (WFH) and aware of the work which I want. Should I put my resignation after 2 months of joining in NTT? What could be the negetive impact here?

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?

I had an interview yesterday for an AM position for a start up. The salary is 30k more than what I’m making now and it seems like the culture is much better than my current company. I prepped for days… I bombed it. The interviewer repeated two questions because I wasn’t answering them in a way they wanted. Can I just say that was a humbling experience🙃

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.

A much much smaller (20 people) company offered me a role.

With the global economic situation as is, is it worth the risk to change to a job I know i'd like more with less pay, and potentially less job security?

Just wanted to know how much a resource promoted to SA from A will make in Chicagoland area Vs a resource traveling from India to US in the same designation as SA in cognizant. YOE 11years.
