Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

Going thru this myself - similar trend last year…and year before for my team/industry. We have learned a lot and found as long as you are transparent about the process and timeline, there are not surprises on the candidate side. On the hiring side, we now have a pool of low hanging fruit to reach into for when hiring resumes - time to hire and project staffing has become extremely fast for us - keep the funnel full and it all pays off when you need it to!
I had a conversation recently about how this summer will probably stand out in everyone's mind as a very strange time. Businesses can't plan their budgets going forward because of the tariffs, and a lot of things have just been put on pause. It's obviously rough on people looking for work, but if they're following the news I assume they understand the problem. All you hear is the word "uncertainty."

"uncertainty" is the new buzz word haha
I completely get how draining the hiring yo-yo is. I try to keep communication honest—with candidates and with my team. Still, it’s frustrating and sometimes feels like running in place. I focus on small wins, like improving our process for next time, because it’s about progress, not perfection.
