I’ve known people in the past who have tried to negotiate with their manager about better conditions for their work and it’s massively blown back in their faces. What’s a way to help someone get that confidence back so they can stand their own going into a new job?

You're entering a new company with fresh dynamics, past blowback was specific to that old place/manager. Prep and practice turns fear into quiet strength. You've got this👌A Cruise ship industry is also currently in need of 8 remote workers. They pay upto $7k per 2 weeks, I believe they're more in search of WFH Merchandise staffs, it's about keeping records of Food&Beverage sales online. is anyone in for it?

That’s great advice!

Confidence comes from within. You can boost them up as much as you like, and it won't make any difference if they don't believe it themselves. It's on them to realize not every company and manager is the same as their old ones, not you.

I know but sometimes there can be things to help people though it.

Remind yourself that the way someone else behaves and reacts has nothing to do with you. You should be confident that you were brave enough to try to make your workplace better. That shows that you are empathetic and mature, skills that any workplace will appreciate.

That’s great advice thank you I’ll pass that on!

Actions speak louder .. keep doing your job hold your head up . Or you can search other organizations that will appreciate your skills and talent . You never know the outcome.

That’s true I guess it comes with time and dedication.

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

I recently interviewed for VMLY & R for a senior account executive…I asked for $85k - $95k they said max they can do is $85k and that’s pushing but u looked on Glassdoor and the average is like $115k should I keep pushing for more?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice
