Looking for a new challenge. Interested in a referral into Salesforce. I’m currently a top performing senior Field Sales Executive selling new business subscription and SaaS into the corporate tech vertical. I live in the DMV area. Hit me up if you’d be willing to help with a referral at Salesforce. Thanks!!

Go, take a sabbatical. Traveling the world will change you for the better and give you so many wonferful things a 9 to 5 job won't. That's a once in a lifetime gift I would take in a heartbeat. You'll come back with a fresh new perspective on everything. It can be scary but it's so liberating. Whether you stay or leave won't change the situation of the job market.
Do it! I have a friend that was in the same situation - inherited money and took a year to travel. She came back with a renewed sense of purpose, decided to change careers and was very successful in the new area. She also started 2 side hustles and bought a house. You never know where life will take you
Ditto. Also no harm in being delusional. Everything will work out for you if you believe it
If it makes you feel better I quit from a really great job without anything lined up to sort of take a sabbatical (it wasn’t a true sabbatical in a sense of me traveling the world), but I was able to focus on some major things that non-stop long hours work just couldn’t let me do. Never regretted that decision for a moment! And when I was ready, I got back into work. (Yes, all of it was this year).
Use half and stash half! That way you’re not stressed about spending your money while on sabbatical.
Absolutely take it. There will be a job later.
Take it!!!! Done it twice, 100% worth it
Do it! Especially if you think it’s your last opportunity to. Jobs will always be there. Maybe put some of it in a high yield savings so you have a safety net to come back while you job hunt.
This is great advice! Save some to leave alone and grow.
Such a personal decision. Talk to your manager and give them heads up and lots of time. They may be ready to hire you or not when you return or you find something else - and move on..but you didn’t just “quit” on them. Leave them loving you and in awe of your risk taking.. we all want what we can’t have ..
Can you not quit but stack PTO/holidays to take trips while working? If this is truly your last opportunity, then seize the day. Stash some in a high yield savings account or auto investment account for your future safety next and start planning your travels!
do. it. 100%. hopefully you’ll have a new mindset when you get back
This is all sooooo refreshing. Was wondering the same but from a marriage perspective!
