Do layoffs actually benefit Indians who remain in the gc line because people who would be ahead in line are being laid off and can’t continue their gc application?

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

I hate Kirkland for what they did to me. Got laid off due to intra-firm-politics at a point in my career where I don’t have enough experience to lateral, when the market is so bad for corp/M&A that even with experience getting hired isn’t likely with a Kirkland stain on the resume, during the holidays when getting interviews or even screeners is just as unlikely, and all of this without any warning at all. Recruiters can’t or aren’t helping. I don’t know what to do, but this is a nightmare

Is it any surprise we’re seeing mass layoff in tech? Years of rich friends hiring rich friends with no work ethic has lead us here. I know way too many tech people who work maybe an hour a day followed by errands and traveling. A lot of getting in these places is who you know, apparently that doesn’t work out like it used to. The amount of people who worked for Meta, Apple, Amazon, etc for a few months / maybe a year is astounding. it’s around that time frame a boss can tell if you’re worth it

I have recently resigned from accenture during probation period due to another offer and I have not got any resignation acceptance mail and HR is not at all responding but the new company HR is repeatedly asking for confirmation mail which I am not getting....Is there any idea when I will get the resignation acceptance mail. My LWD is 16th feb and till now I have not received the confirmation

What is the Medical Insurance amount provided by the DTICI? And for this, premium will be deducted in the monthly pay? Or it'll be taken care of by the employer itself? Any info regarding health insurance is not provided in the offer letter. So, I'm willing to know about this.
