I went client side. It’s not a wonderland, but I don’t feel ragey every day, rarely work past 7 pm or on weekends. Have terrific, smart colleagues. Note: You won’t be at Cannes, go on 7 day shoots, or have a decent holiday party, and client side can be rather dismissive of/ confused by creatives, but it’s a solid way out if you’re feeling this burnt! Good luck!
It’s really hard getting in client side for any brand that does decent creative work

Back when I started (in mid-80s long afterglow of the 60s creative revolution) we aimed to attract people and persuade them to try our products or services. Today we talk about “targeting” them and “driving” them to do what we want, based on “intelligence” we have gained, essentially by spying on them. The afterglow is long gone, and the twilight of the gods has set in.
So true, I was thinking this just the other day. Advertising use to have to charm people and win them over through wit, intelligence, and style. Now it’s like a never ending banging of a trash can set on loop.
