It can't, but it won't stop them from sacrificing these jobs at the altar of "efficiency." It's ludicrous to see play out in real time. We're in for an incredibly bumpy 4 years.
wow, this much? I wasn't aware of those numbers either. Maybe not all at once, but systems start cracking when experienced people walk out the door. I worked with someone in federal procurement who said delays have doubled in the last year because teams just can’t keep up. Thanks for sharing it

That's surprising, but I imagine it's temporary. I don't think the next administration is going to let this kind of thing stand for the long-term. Jobs can be taken away, but they can be added again.
People first, mission always - when you work in government that’s your mantra. The mission matters because a lot of us could make a lot more Money in the private sector. People don’t get that about the government workforce - you see one bad example and think all of us are bums. We will see such a slowdown of services that we all rely on soon.
