‘07 4Runner. Daily and weekender for ~20 years now. 165k and will take her to 350k.
My daily for college and a couple of years afterwards was a green over tan cloth ‘97 4runner v6 5 speed with factory locker. Cooper discovery II tires made that thing a blast in the wet, perpetually sideways, but easily controllable
My dad picked up a matching green/tan ‘97 Land Cruise collectors edition off of BaT when I had it and we would roll into cars and coffee together.
My brother had a black over gray/light tan cloth (interior was pretty worn so it was a little hard to tell factory color) ‘04 v8 4Runner. He loved it. We did the timing belt service but other than that it was dead reliable
4Runners are beasts and the used market loves them. I would love another 3rd Gen eventually
I respect your style, my dude
Sincerely, a 911 driver
First 911 i ever test drove was a millennium edition 996/6. Should’ve bought it, loved the color combo. Decided against it bc the cash i had was for college education.
Happy i passed, but a 996/6 c2 or 996/6 turbo is next unless there is a screamer deal on the market when I’m looking to buy.
Put it off for too long and want to enjoy myself. The e39 m5s are cool and the epitome of everyday driver car, but those 911s just feel a little more special

Had a BMW M235i when it first came out and loved it, thought about getting back to BMW cars a lot, but couldn’t stomach the front grille design of the recent cars.
Also thought about selling my big bikes and get a smaller one to have fun at slower speeds.
Waiting on my 911 Carrera T to arrive, and will probably sell most of the above to free up space.
How are SCs and analysts buying these cars lol.
Depreciation.
Wagon was bought while in college with a tax return and the foolish ambition of m5 conversion.
When I bought my m5 it was a package with an extra, higher mileage engine. I rebuilt the original and put it back in the car and took the drivetrain that was in it when I bought it and put it in the wagon.
Saw the e92 listed at $14k and it dropped $1k per month for 8 months. After I test drove it I offered $2k less than his reduced asking and seller accepted
All cars have issues, doesn’t matter if new or used. I have bought and sold many cars and never lost money, broken even a few times. You can have really cool cars if you know how to wrench and you buy right.
All in I have about $22.5k invested
