Central Florida only lost by 8 to LSU without their starting QB. That’s like expecting the saints to be 13-3 without Drew Brees. UCF is a playoff team, stay woke people

Boss2 (American): “Why can’t I just do THIS?”
Boss1 (American): “Because it just complicates things! Why do you have to go and throw a spanner in the wheel?!”
Boss3 (British): “Spanner in the wheel?? You’re mixing up your metaphors. It’s spanner in the works.”
Boss2: “What’s a spanner?”
Boss3: “In ENGland where we speak ENGlish, it’s the item you mistakenly refer to as a wrench.”
Boss2: “So – a wrench in the works?”
Boss3: “Yes, it’s a tool that screws everything up …like you.”

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

I am wondering what are the top non technical (for someone without cs background) roles in tech.

Product manager seems to be the top one. Any more? Does PGM, TPM or Solutions Architect also fall in this category?

If I'm interviewing for a promotional role on a different team in the same dept, should I bring this up in a 1:1 with my line manager? As of this post, she doesn't know I'm going for the interview or role

29, Currently a Deli Manager with over 3 years experience. I am completely burned out. I need a immediate career change we’re I can continue to support my self. I have experience in Banking, Real Estate, Shipping, caregiving, and the obvious retail experience. I do unfortunately have a deferred adjudication for theft it was dismissed a year ago, so I have 4 more years to seal the record. I would appreciate any recommendations. Background check anxiety holds me back .

This is targeted at other Project/Program managers. Right now I work in the Veterinary pharmaceutical business. I’ll likely be making a pivot sometime next spring, but am unsure what direction to go in. An obvious choice is human pharma, but getting into tech also seems appealing. Any insight from people who’ve been in both worlds would be helpful. :)

I have been in an awkward reporting structure for 2.5 years. On record I’ve reported to the VP of Marketing, who was crazy toxic, and technologically inept. I’m a senior website manage and she had no interest in my role. She shirked me off to also report to her two directors, PR and Call Center. Needless to say, that’s been a difficult situation for me. She’s gone and the new VP starts tomorrow. Any guidance on how to ensure this ends with the incumbent VP?
