Use your network and ask through the grapevine on the likelihood of your promotion
I mean, if you know you’re gonna get promoted, then the question is would you prefer to stay or go? Do you like your current team want something new? Lastly, who do you think will pay you more? Cuz unlikely you can negotiate your promo raise with your current employer, but you can with the new offer (ish)
Well if promotions are soon, and someone hasn’t mentioned that you are being tapped for manager, then you might not be getting it. I would chat with someone about the likelihood of a promotion. These things are generally communicated well in advance.
Also, if you’re going to become a manager, you’re about to get overworked. Don’t ever take lower pay for more work.

Do you like your current firm? Are you learning a lot? What about the pay?
Quite a few factors here to consider, all arguably more important than role title. Career progression is a marathon not a sprint.
Might be worth jumping, might not. Would be helpful to gain clarity on your current promotion chances too.
I mean nothing is definite until you actually promote but I think you would have an idea.
How have your reviews gone? Has your career coach told you how you’re tacking.
Depends if your potential promotion at your current firm will in name only - will you still be acting as a senior? Or will you have seniors below you and increased responsibilities?
I’d lean towards the firm you’re currently with since you know what a manager role looks like (if it’s a manager role with seniors below you).
A lot of manager roles at firms these days are simply executing and talking to India on calls morning and night.
To be safe, confirm you’re inline for promotion at your current firm and stick with that if you’re comfortable - worst case, it’s not great and you can leverage that to a new manager offer with significantly more comp leverage than you have now.
At my firm you have to put yourself up for promotion and get sign off from those above you. Like there’s no way you wouldn’t know if you were in the running.
