Just received an offer and I’m in the first trimester of pregnancy. Start date likely to be in the next 3 weeks. Do I disclose at offer stage (now) or wait until I’m ready to announce my pregnancy likely a month after starting? Thanks! *parental leave available from day 1, so that’s not a concern.

If leave is guaranteed no need to tell them until you start working and are otherwise ready to tell folks. It could only hurt you to share now (unless you're trying to decide to lateral or not and only will lateral if they give you nothing but positive vibes on this).

Honestly, I would tell them. I don’t think you have to, it’s very private medical information. But, I would want to start out the relationship without this idea that I’m concealing something in the mix.

Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?

Got an offer within Product Ops (Mt View) for L4, 145k base, 15% bonus, 185k equity (33/33/22/12), 15 sign on. One competing offer (that is lower) and only MBB promotion to Engagement manager in a few months as leverage point.
