I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart
I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

This is a solid offer but still ask for $200k and $20k sign on
I was close to making AP and came in at L5 (top end of the pay band). 18 months in and the road to L6 is still a year away and my comp has already maxed out.

Wait for EM and leverage that for a better offer in a year or two if you really want to jump. L4 to L5 is a 2 year process, and if you come in at L5 with EM level $ you can probably finesse your way to the top of the pay band.

Google doesn’t negotiate base much so target equity. Like G2 said, shoot for 200k in equity
G3: Market is very different today than when you switched. I am a second year EM and got L6 at G.
OP: Make EM before you switch. The offer seems really low.
Interested to hear about your experience leading to landing the role. Also in ProdOps and considering a switch. Thanks!

When considering pay....take into account life style and hours spent working. You will get a huge pay increase based in hours worked
OP, I’m interviewing for a similar role - how was the interview process?
OP, what was your final offer?
