Just said no to a promotion because ‘more money’ wasn’t worth ‘no life.’ The firm’s response? Shock, disapproval, and a not-so-subtle dig about my ‘career priorities.’ Funny how ‘ambition’ only seems to mean ‘work yourself into the ground.’ Anyone else reject the relentless grind? What was the fallout?

Honestly, I am at the same point. Am I making enough to say no to promotions? No. But do I make enough? Yes. And I'd rather make this much and have the time I do currently to live out the other important things about life than have a better status at work. I'd mostly say no to a promotion as well,

I test drove a 2017 330 gt, got an offer for around 28K. I need to fit 2 child seats and don’t want to get an SUV. It’s surprisingly roomy inside. Asking for the pros here for any insights or things to be aware of before I pull the trigger. My first german car upgrading from an accord.

I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am

I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)

Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?
