A little humor sprinkled in a resume. Yay? Nay?
This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

Finally, I got a TV spot assignment!
Not just any spot, but a Super Bowl spot.
Congrats. You earned it.
I hope they only receive a thousand AI-generated slow-mo slop compilations from the new wave of "RunwayML filmmakers"
Should have been $1,316,229.63 to adjust for inflation since the last time they did this.
I am not looking forward to every novice director on the planet sending their poorly written Doritos spec spot out on a reel again. I’ve been subjected to so many bad, unaired, amateur hour Doritos specs that this news makes me want to crawl under a bed made of Pringles.
Hasn’t Doritos always done this? It’s just their crash the Super Bowl contest. They’ve been doing it since the early 2000s. People make their own films.
Chief
@creative Supe 1: People write and shoot it. And it’s PAINFULLY obvious every time 🤦♂️
Rising Star
I’ll make one for my day rate. It would be cheaper than 1 million for sure.
Yep. This is one of the entries from back in the day

Why are viral international ads like this
Today’s advertising is just pawning off the assignment to content creators.
Hmm 🤔
So can we enter...asking for a friend..
In the past, agencies entered spots that were for their clients but were about Doritos. Newcastle brown ale is a good example.
When they’ve run the homemade spots, they’ve never been the worst spot to run during the game. 😧
Friend won in the top three last time, got like 200k - it not only set her up big time with recognition and got her out of a targeted cultural agency career, but she pivoted to shooting. Dare to dream, boymommies!
Big eye roll
