Every workday I have at least one cup of coffee. I still either make Nespresso pods or kcups for the ease. Honestly I don’t worry about the microplastics because we are all going to die of something and to be worrying about what could be in the coffee that I like right now and fits into my lifestyle isn’t it.
Right? Honestly, yeah. I'd rather have coffee till I die than worry about how it could kill me when it most probably won't.
Have you tried mushroom coffee? I think the name is pretty misleading because I'll be honest, it doesnt taste anything like coffee. But I had to make the switch for my guthealth and now it's just become the new ritual. I truly feel the change in my gut and also my focus, so I've been in love. You could give it a shot. I use Ryze.
I have and I really don't like how it tastes tbh. But thanks for the reccomendation
I use Chemex to brew coffee in the mornings, takes about 5-8mins total. But have to have coffee grinder, kettle, filters and beans. But no plastic!
As it relates to coffee, I think it depends on genetics as there are people with some DNA combinations that are more susceptible to caffeine and are more affected by it. And on other hand there are people who can drink coffee after dinner and then sleep like babies.
But avoiding plastic, using organic coffee beans, drinking coffee after at least 60mins after waking up and if you’re sensitive to caffeine, not drinking after 12pm, could all be good starting points.
Never heard of chemex before? What is it exactly?
1.5cups of Nespresso every day. Coffee is my guilty pleasure so I don’t worry about it. I also rarely drink alcohol and don’t eat junk food or a lot of processed foods so I think it balances out. I also take pre/probiotics for gut health

I try to limit my caffeine consumption to no more than 2 to 4 beverages per day from all sources. The studies constantly change but 400mg max seems to be the ongoing no more than threshold. Have you ever tried a French press to make coffee? Cheap, easy to use, and easy to clean up. The flavor comes out better than the drip coffee. Takes longer to brew but worth it.
I’ve been a huge fan of my nespresso machine. Morning - 2 espresso shots, oat milk, and ice for an iced latte.
If I’m having a “tired day” I’ll have half of one in the afternoon.
I just have one cup of coffee in the morning! I can only have more than one if I’m really tired
I don't drink coffee, I drink water or orange juice. Once in a while, I'll have a hot chocolate.
I drink starbucks instant coffee daily now. It's pretty strong but no added sugar all that
