Leadership keeps rolling out new initiatives, but nothing ever gets taken off our plates. Way more work for the same amount of people. I’m struggling to figure out what to aim for when everything is labeled urgent. How do you push back when they're just expecting too much of us?

What I have advised my recruiters is to take one thing at a time. If you are using metric tools to help you coordinate your day, pay attention to the requisitions that are aging and get those closed as soon as you can. Then work on your candidate health. Make sure you do not have candidates waiting for a long time to be contacted or screened for roles. You want to make sure the candidate experience is met. You can only do what is right in front of you. Every company goes through a realignment and the lone survivors need to learn to adapt the best way you can because you are still there.

I usually have a conversation with my boss at that time. If they are all urgent, which ones are the priority or what do you recommend tackling first?

Dry promoting

It has to be a unanimous pushback or nothing will get fixed

I had a hectic last three months working up to 16 hours a day due to my project. During this time I took advantage of convenient food which isn’t always the best. Now that things have died down I am having trouble switching from the less convenient food, snaking more than I should and not being as active as I was during the three months previously. I haven’t found what I need to motivate myself and I’m hoping that others could share what motivates them to get back into it after a hectic time

Any recommendations for good last minute ticket deals for Orlando Disney and Universal theme parks?

I quit my old job but am working PT for them till they find a replacement. Apparently they could not get a refund on a flight they booked me and my manager is asking if (not me, but I can see it in Teams) I can reimburse for the ticket. It’s $800, anyone know if this is legal?
