Obsessing about hotels and such is JV. Of course we all like nice places and points, but doing what’s most convenient collectively, and then focusing on the work should be the priority.
Put another way- consultants who focus on supporting each other and the work, tend to rise. The consultants who are hotel and point obsessed rarely make it thorough the ranks. Actually somewhat of a red flag.
Who cares, enjoy the free stay at a lux hotel
The better question - who’s hoarding all the points for themselves?
Why are there no points? Any way you can fix that?
(although we won't be able to get points for our stay) so that means I'll be missing out on 145k points. Would you rather stay at the high end hotel or get points for your stay?
Points easy. Have made this choice many times when given the opportunity to book non Marriott luxury hotels. I earn enough Marriott points each year to fly both my parents round trip in first class to southeast Asia. The marginal benefit of staying at a 5-star hotel vs a 4-star just doesn't compare at all to that value.
