Dear all,
My friend is trying to get into her 1st full-time job. Previously she worked as a UI UX designer for multiple clients (freelance). But she couldn't manage to get an interview call. She is an excellent UI UX designer and an illustrator. If anyone has any options, kindly comment below, I will share her resume. She is a btech graduate with 2 year experience in ui ux designing/illustration field.

Feel like that whole recruiting industry needs to be “disrupted"
Such nonsense. In my experience 90% of the time it is a waste of time. Now that I'm further along in my career, I'm pretty blunt. It would be great to connect, but can you please share the job posting so I can assess whether this is an opportunity that it makes sense for us to further connect on.
I also figure it’s going to be lame if they try to bury the lead.
To be they said it was for BCG in the very first outreach....
Hate it when recruiters tease an exciting opportunity, set up a call, don’t show up for the call and then never talk to you again
This. Glad I am not the only person who experienced that.
Thank u... next
They are protecting themselves. You would probably not be surprised at the number of people who cut the recruiter out and try to go direct
In many cases the recruiter works for a separate company so the end client is also the recruiters client. Both recruiter and end client may not want it broadcast widely that a position is open.
I understand not putting in a job posting or blasting it out to all potential candidates, but what decent company expects to recruit top talent if the company name can't be disclosed after the recruiter initiates contact and the prospective person expresses potential interest?
I love it when they won't tell you who the company is, but they say something like "it's a fortune 500 sports apparel company near Portland, OR." I wonder who that could be??
Not disclosing the client by email is understandable but not providing a job description is a red flag.
Could be replacing someone who is still in the role, doesn't want you to reach out directly and work around them, or they are supporting an initiative that is confidential (RIF, moving headquarters, M&A activity, etc.).
In my exp McKinsey recruiters are the most secretive. Wouldn’t tell me the firm until I signed an NDA!
Hah are you serious?
