Seeking recommendations. What firm would allow for the most variety in the type of work I do? For example being on projects for different types of teams like data privacy, cyber security, & strategy?

GT does a lot of cross-pollination. Part culture, part not having a deep enough bench in any one practice. Advisory is growing too...

helpful

Nice I’ve actually taken notice to GT on some of their current opportunities.

Would it be best to join a smaller firm?

Been at a smaller firm and big firm. Both make it hard to get variety. Not profitable for them to do so

So, I've been thinking alot and did quite some research but would really love some insight (Accounting vs Fund Accountant)
As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.

I recently came across a role of Fund Accountant and wanted to really know what the day to day work looks like

How frequent are team changes in advisory? I spent 3 years on the same audit client. I joined kpmg advisory in January and I've been on 3 teams in the last year here.

Is that normal? The last 2 contracts, 1 was downsized mid contract year, and the other simply wasn't renewed for a new option year, so it's not due to my performance.

I'm getting tired of learning new people and workflows, and I'm considering leaving bc of it, but I wanted to see if it was common before I made any rash decisions
